Scenes From…. is an experimental series by Michael K. Pomphrey. Each episode is a combination various effects, music, images, photographs, and/or b-roll for potential use in future productions.

In 2018, Michael embarked on the journey to create a documentary, that explores how TRiO Disabled Student Support Services and Student Support Services, a federal grant program at Pikes Peak Community College, assists first generation college students, low-income college students, and college students with disabilities. Within this documentary, Michael captures first hand accounts of students accessing services and the staff assisting the students in their academic endeavors. This film was shot entirely on a Digital Bolex D16 and Fujifilm x 100t. 

A passion project that began long before the camera actually started to role in 2012, Michael explores what makes a little mom and pop ski shop, which happens to be called The Ski Shop, located in Colorado Springs, thrive for 60 plus years. Listen to how employees from past and present, consider this place home. Where co-workers are family and the adventures are never ending. Could this be the real “never-neverland”? 

In 2015, Michael began shooting in CinemaDNG file format using the limited run Digital Bolex D16 camera. This video is a test shot of Pikes Peak in May 2015.

In 2007-2008, Michael was the Screenwriter for three short films. Dandelion is a sample of his writing style as a Fellow at the American Film Institute.

In 2009, Michael was the Screenplay Editor for Sick Puppy, an AFI Thesis Film.
